St Saviour's is an Anglican church over 150 years old, at 50 Kirk Road in Templeton, Christchurch, beside Templeton Primary School. Its historic building has a rose window and stained glass, and the website says it is heated and has cushioned wooden pews. The church was consecrated in 1868, and stained glass windows were imported from Melbourne and installed in 1881. It is one of three churches in the Hornby Anglican Parish, with Hornby and West Melton. The services offer singing, preaching, Bible reading and prayer, with contemporary and traditional styles across the parish. The church meets at 5pm in summer and 4pm in winter, and there is a children's church during the service. The hall next to the church is where the children's church and the cuppa and light meal after the service take place. There is parking on site and along the road, and both buildings have ramp access.
Reviewers describe a monthly coffee morning, held on the first Thursday of each month, with a floral demonstration among its activities. One visitor, who went to the graveyard to see a relative, said the church could use a wash and a coat of paint. Plots are available in the cemetery, which the website invites visitors to walk around.
