Physio@Heart is a holistic physiotherapy clinic in the HillV2 development on Hillview Rise, serving the west of Singapore from its Bukit Batok home since 2015. Founded by physiotherapist Andrea Lai, whose career in therapy and rehabilitation spans more than 30 years, the clinic describes itself as a healing oasis where your well-being is at the heart of everything it does.
Care here is genuinely personalised. Every journey begins with a comprehensive assessment, followed by a tailored treatment plan that may combine hands-on treatment, patient education and customised exercises. The clinic's philosophy draws on balance, order, rhythm and harmony — pacing therapy so the body progresses without being overwhelmed, and working to prevent future injuries, not just resolve current ones.
Patients can be treated in three ways: In-Clinic Care at HillV2, Home Recovery Therapy that brings expert care to your living room, and Clinical Massage Therapy — targeted massage interventions designed to alleviate pain and promote the body's natural recovery. The clinic treats a broad spectrum of conditions, from back pain, neck pain, frozen shoulder and sports injuries to neurological disorders and post-surgical recovery, always with one-on-one attention, ongoing support and regular progress checks. Visits are by appointment only: Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, and Saturdays until 12pm.
Walk into Physio@Heart at #02-20 HillV2 and you step into what the clinic calls a healing oasis — a small physiotherapy practice in the Hillview Rise neighbourhood of Bukit Batok where well-being, in its own words, is at the heart of everything. Founded in 2015 by physiotherapist Andrea Lai, the clinic was established with a simple vision: to enhance the quality of life for individuals in the west of Singapore through holistic, personalised care.
Unlike high-volume clinics where sessions can feel rushed, Physio@Heart is built around one-on-one attention. Patients receive focused care with ongoing support and regular progress checks — something the clinic points to as central to its 5-star patient reviews.
Andrea Lai brings a deep clinical résumé to the treatment table. A graduate of NYP and Curtin University, she spent eight years at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital under the Parkway Group, where she developed an interest in outpatient rehabilitation for back and neck pain, arthroscopic surgeries and degenerative joint conditions. Her key sub-interest — neurogeriatric rehabilitation — took root during this period, alongside her leadership of multidisciplinary falls prevention and screening programmes in Singapore's heartlands.
In 2003 she broadened her perspective with five years at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, rotating through the outpatient department, inpatient orthopaedics and neurogeriatric rehabilitation. Before founding Physio@Heart, she served as Rehab and Homecare Manager at Gleneagles Hospital. That combination — more than 30 years in therapy and rehabilitation — now shapes every treatment plan at the clinic.
The clinic's philosophy is unusual and refreshingly human. It takes its cue from a Thomas Merton line: 'Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.' At Physio@Heart, that translates into four working principles. Balance means giving equal importance to exercise, rest and appropriate lifestyle changes so the body heals effectively. Order means following a structured, personalised plan towards sustainable recovery. Rhythm means pacing therapy so your body progresses without being overwhelmed. Harmony is the destination — a body that moves with ease, free from pain.
Physio@Heart handles a broad spectrum of conditions. Slipped discs, frozen shoulders and sports injuries are among the most common reasons patients come in, but the list extends to back and neck pain, sciatica, knee, hip, shoulder and elbow pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis and whiplash. More complex cases — neurological disorders and post-surgical recovery — are also part of the practice's daily work, drawing on Andrea's hospital background.
Patients can choose the setting that suits them. In-Clinic Care at HillV2 offers comprehensive assessments, personalised treatments, patient education and customised exercises. Home Recovery Therapy brings the same expertise to your living room — a convenient option for anyone whose condition makes travel difficult. Clinical Massage Therapy adds targeted massage interventions designed to alleviate pain and promote the body's natural recovery.
Whichever route you take, the approach is the same: address the current concern, then work to prevent future injuries through education and self-management. Andrea's passion, the clinic notes, lies in empowering patients to understand and look after their own bodies for lasting, sustainable recovery.
Physio@Heart operates by appointment only, from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday appointments until 12pm. The clinic is located at 4 Hillview Rise, #02-20 HillV2, Singapore 667979. Questions and appointment requests can be sent through the website's contact form, and the clinic asks that urgent cases reach out directly via WhatsApp. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition or simply aiming to stay well, the starting point is the same — a tailored plan built around your story, your body and your goals.
