Jack's Point Golf Course is a highly-acclaimed championship 18-hole, par 72 course set within the 1,200-hectare Jack's Point settlement, framed by the Remarkables mountain range and Lake Wakatipu, just 15 minutes from Queenstown. The course was designed by John Darby of Queenstown-based Darby Partners, completed in 2008, and measures 6,388 metres (6,986 yards) across five tee positions.
The course has been recognised internationally and locally - New Zealand Golf Magazine ranked it number two in New Zealand in 2020, and it won the prestigious global IAGTO 2019 Sustainability Award for Nature Protection. Sheep from the working Jack's Point farm, part of the original Remarkables Station farmed by the Jardine family for four generations, graze around the course.
On-site dining is available at Jack's, the restaurant open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, with tables bookable online. Jack's Point is named after Jack Tewa, a local Māori station-hand who rescued a European named Mitchell during a storm on Lake Wakatipu on 9 August 1862, and who is also credited with the first discovery of gold in the Arrow River, Arrowtown, that same year.

Sheep still graze around the fairways, part of the working Jack's Point farm, which is part of the original Remarkables Station established at the time of first European settlement of the South Island and farmed by the Jardine family for four generations.

Jack's Point is more than a golf course - it's a master-planned settlement that also includes over 25km of trails for cycling, running and walking, open year-round, along with a lakeside Village with accommodation, restaurants and shops, and residential neighbourhoods. Only five per cent of the vast area will ever be built on, with a covenant protecting the rugged grassland and mountain landscape from development.
