the little loft is a boutique beauty therapy salon nestled among the Queenwood shops in a leafy Hamilton suburb, built around the idea of connecting skin health, beauty and wellness. It is a friendly, welcoming space where treatments are bespoke rather than templated, and where self-care is treated as vital. The salon is by appointment only, though visitors are welcome to pop in and browse the retail space or purchase a gift voucher.
The team — senior beauty therapists Carianne and Camila, and massage therapist Phoebe — pride themselves on the highest level of care and service. Their philosophy is simple: we care, we listen, we guide. Therapists work with clients to craft facials that target specific skin needs, are trained in the latest skincare technology and approaches, and are supported in ongoing professional development. They do no harm to the skin, working with its natural biome and using products that strengthen and heal.
The salon uses only ethical and environmentally conscious brands with high-quality ingredients — including Osmosis Beauty, used for its most popular and most-loved facials, and Janesce, whose plant-based products are created on a biodynamic, certified organic farm in South Australia — and is working towards reducing its carbon footprint. Beyond facials, the menu covers brows, lashes, waxing, massage, spray tanning, makeup and nails, plus indulgent packages like Glow Mumma and Escape and Glow.
Tucked among the Queenwood shops in one of Hamilton's leafier suburbs, the little loft is a boutique beauty therapy salon built around a simple idea: connecting skin health, beauty and wellness. It is a small, welcoming space where treatments are tailored rather than templated, and where self-care is treated as something vital rather than indulgent. As the team puts it, time spent here is a gift to yourself.
The little loft is by appointment only, although visitors are welcome to pop in without one to browse the retail space or pick up a gift voucher for someone special. Once you're in the treatment room, though, it's all about you. The team's philosophy is simple — we care, we listen, we guide — and therapists work with you to craft facials that target your skin's specific needs and help you reach your skincare goals.
The therapists are trained in the latest skincare technology and approaches, and the salon invests in their ongoing professional development. Senior beauty therapists Carianne and Camila lead the facial work — Camila in particular loves results-driven, advanced facial treatments and taking clients on a genuine skincare journey while educating them along the way. Phoebe, the salon's massage therapist, is trained in sports and therapeutic massage and blends targeted techniques with a holistic approach.
Underpinning everything is a gentle, do-no-harm philosophy: the team works with the skin's natural biome, using products that strengthen and heal, and chooses ethical, environmentally conscious brands with high-quality ingredients while working to reduce the salon's carbon footprint.
Facials are the heart of the menu, and the Osmosis facials are the salon's most popular and most loved. Based on ancient eastern medicine philosophies, the Osmosis Beauty approach treats skin conditions at their source, from the inside out. Your facialist uses Osmosis Skin Mapping to select the right formulation for you, designing a facial for immediate, visible results — an approach used to address challenging conditions including cystic acne, eczema, psoriasis, melasma, enlarged pores, blackheads and acne scarring.
The Osmosis Holistic Facial is the full experience: a double cleanse and enzyme exfoliant, a custom serum infusion, a lymphatic facial massage with Osmosis avocado or lime oils, and a custom mask accompanied by a hand or foot massage and a shoulder massage. You leave with moisturiser and SPF applied — and gloriously glowy skin. The Osmosis Medi-Infusion goes deeper still, combining a rejuvenating facial infusion with active powder blends to increase cell turnover and lift hyperpigmentation.
For something purely plant-based, the Janesce Nourishing Facial uses 100% natural products created on Claret Ash Farm, a biodynamic, certified organic farm in South Australia. It layers skin-soaking, enzyme exfoliation and a neck, shoulder and décolleté massage with a custom hydrating mask, and closes with a personalised home care routine and a cup of Storm and India tea.
There's a full beauty menu alongside the facials. Brows can be shaped, tinted or laminated, lashes tinted or lifted, and the waxing list runs from lip and chin to Brazilian, half and full legs, arms, back and chest. There are full and half body spray tans, day and formal makeup with or without lashes, and makeup lessons. Nails range from express manicures and pedicures to a 75-minute spa ritual full pedi.
Massage gets its own moment too: the signature Pure Relaxation back, neck and shoulder massage uses the finest botanical oils, while Phoebe tailors each session to your goals — whether that's managing an injury, preparing for peak performance, or simply restoring calm. For a longer escape, the packages deliver: Glow Mumma pampers new and expecting mums with a foot soak and scrub, a rose glow facial and a spa ritual pedicure, while Escape and Glow begins with an extensive 15-minute consultation before unfolding into a relaxation massage and a customised facial, finished with organic loose-leaf tea.
The salon opens Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 5pm, Thursday from 10am to 8pm (the late night for after-work appointments), Friday from 9am to 4pm, and Saturday from 9am to 1pm — although note the salon is not open every Saturday, so it pays to check before you go. Bookings can be made online, and the team is happy to answer questions by phone, email or social media. New clients who subscribe to the newsletter receive 15% off their first treatment.
Whether you're chasing a specific skin result or simply an hour of quiet, the little loft promises the same thing: bespoke, holistic care from a team that genuinely loves seeing clients leave with a smile on their face.
