PAK'nSAVE Riccarton is the supermarket inside Westfield Riccarton on Riccarton Road in Christchurch. Its aim, as the store puts it, is to keep costs down and pass the savings on. One shopper calls it the busiest grocery store in the South Island. Shoppers praise the stock levels, the friendly staff and the fresh produce, and one says the click and collect service picks good products. Another says it is much more affordable than New World. Others describe prices as competitive, though a few find them higher than they would like.
The range covers the usual weekly shop, with a Pams aisle, meat and seafood, deli meats, cheese, yoghurt and dairy-free options. The in-store bakery makes fresh loaves, pastries, cakes, muffins, scones, donuts and cream buns. The Makeaways counter sells burgers, pizza and wraps. There is also a Father's Day range in store at the moment.
