Elite Recovery Massage is a sports and soft tissue massage practice in Unit 4 at 3 Kennedys Bush Road, Halswell, Christchurch. It is run by therapist Carol Smith, who says she has 14 years' experience in deep tissue and sports massage. The practice is at full capacity and is not taking new clients at present. People can join a waitlist through the booking button, and the website says sessions are usually booked about 10 weeks ahead.
Sessions run for 60, 90 or 120 minutes, and the first session is usually 90 minutes so that the initial consultation can include postural assessment software and home care advice. One treatment listed is a 60-minute TMJ and pterygoid jaw release with deep tissue work on the face, neck and chest, for jaw pain. The practice says it uses natural oils and creams and avoids harsh cleaning chemicals. Its cancellation policy asks for more than 24 hours' notice, with a 50% fee for less notice and a full fee for less than 12 hours. The website says booking times outside operating hours can be arranged. For someone in Halswell who wants a long-term soft tissue plan, the consultation and the longer first session are the main things the practice describes.
