Relax Restore Massage is run by massage therapist Ruth Waters from the Herb Centre in Cracroft, Christchurch, and the business has free off-street parking. Ruth trained at the New Zealand College of Massage, graduating in 2014 with a certificate in relaxation massage, and holds a Level 2 in Reiki. The website lists relaxation and full body massage, a therapeutic treatment for neck, back and shoulders with a head massage, pregnancy massage with the client lying on their side, and chair massage at the workplace for employers and their staff. Reiki sessions are also offered, with minimal body contact. The website says Tui balms made from South Island organic beeswax are used in the work.
Customers describe the massage as professional, with good technique, and say the touch can be firm or gentle as needed. One customer found that Reiki suited them better than massage at that time, and found it relaxing and restorative. Others mention self-care and restorative time. Our pick in Cracroft for a relaxing full body massage, with firm or gentle pressure as needed.
