A small, family-owned early childhood centre on Halswell Road in Halswell, Christchurch, for children from birth to six years. The centre describes itself as a home away from home, and it asks families to come in for a visit to meet the team before deciding. It runs a full day from 7.30am to 5.30pm, a morning session from 7.30am to 12.30pm, an afternoon session from 12.30pm to 5.30pm and a half day from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Free play, mat times and quiet times are part of the day, and the centre teaches children to care for the environment, which it calls kaitiakitanga.
