Npd Car Wash is a car wash on Gasson Street in Sydenham, Christchurch, currently holding a perfect 5.0 rating from its first Google review.
A good car wash is about more than moving water across paint. The pre-rinse does much of the real work, loosening grit that would otherwise be dragged over the panels and leave fine swirl marks, so a place that never rushes that stage is worth finding. Wheels and wheel arches deserve attention too, as brake dust and road film build up there fastest in city driving. Regulars tend to wash every week or two rather than waiting until the car looks dirty, since bird droppings and grime etch into paintwork if left sitting.
For Sydenham locals and anyone passing through the city's south, Npd Car Wash sits handy on Gasson Street for keeping the car presentable.
