A self-serve and automatic car wash on Blenheim Road in Addington, Christchurch, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It offers self-serve bays and in-bay automatic washes, using either a touchless machine or a soft brush. The full self-serve sequence runs from tyre degreaser and bug remover through pre-soak, high-pressure soap, a foamy brush and rinse, to a foaming wax, clear-coat protectant and spot-free rinse. Card and prepaid card payment works at every bay. The site says the automatic washes start from $12 as at 2026, and the vacuums come with fragrances such as cherry, new car, vanilla and fresh scent. The site says an average wash here uses about 70 litres of water, against up to 400 litres for a bucket wash at home. Reviews are mostly negative. Two shoppers say the wheels, tyres and sides were not properly cleaned, and one says the brush was unusable and the car did not dry. Another described the premises as dirty. Staff are the one point of praise, and payment and ease of use are mentioned often. Open Locally also lists a second Splash 'N' Dash at the same spot, which is rated 1.0 from 10 reviews.
