A café with a view, the Sign of the Kiwi is at 1600 Summit Road in Cashmere, Christchurch. It has plenty of seating inside and out, and an ice cream parlour for sunny days.
The café serves coffee and fresh food, including smoked salmon blini with lemon and capers, club sandwiches and French crêpes with chocolate, lemon sugar or berry coulis, which are $13 as at 2026. Wine, beer and soft drinks are served on site. The venue can be hired from 5pm to 10pm for groups of 25 to 45 people, with mains served with seasonal vegetables and duchesse potatoes. A venue fee applies for groups of fewer than 30.
