A hill park on the Port Hills above Cashmere, Christchurch, with panoramic views over the city, the Canterbury Plains, Pegasus Bay and the Southern Alps. The main access points are Sign of the Takahē, the main Victoria Park car park and Sign of the Kiwi, and bus routes reach as far as Sign of the Takahē. Gates open from 7.30am to 7pm, and to 9pm in daylight saving months.
The park has walking tracks, including the Crater Rim walk from Sign of the Bellbird to Ahuriri, cross-country and downhill mountain bike trails, and a children's playground. Facilities are at Victoria Park and the two signs. Dogs must be on a leash on the walkways, except in the designated dog park. Visitors are welcome to join the working bees and planting days run by the council and community groups.
