About The Church Pub

The Church Pub is housed in the historic Trinity Church, a Category I heritage building listed with Heritage New Zealand. The building was damaged in the 2010 Canterbury earthquake and red-stickered after the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake, putting it at risk of demolition like many other central city heritage buildings. In June 2012 it was announced the building would be saved, repaired, and earthquake strengthened — it's now home to The Church Pub.

The kitchen is known for 12" Napoli-style woodfired pizza, made fresh daily and run independently from the rest of the kitchen, alongside a brunch and larger-plates menu available until 3pm. The venue runs weekly specials under its 'Winter Comforts' banner, plus a Monday night Quiz Night, and is dog friendly.

The Church is part of a wider group of sister venues, including O.G.B, Austin Club, Paddy McNaughton's Irish Pub, Civil & Naval, Fox & Ferret, The Prebbleton Hotel, and Fanny's Pub, and also hosts functions and celebrations, with larger bookings (30+) handled via direct enquiry.
