Kay graduated from the National School of Aesthetics in 1991, gaining NaSA diplomas in Beauty Therapy, Applied Aesthetics, Physiatrics and Electrolysis, alongside International ITEC (UK) Diplomas in Aestheticienne, Electrology and Physiatrics, and a CIBTAC (UK) Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology. She continually upgrades her skills to bring the latest industry techniques to her clients, and was a judge in the 2015 South Otago Show Queen Competition as part of her involvement in the Balclutha community.
At Total Image, Kay chooses to use naturally derived products containing organic ingredients that are environmentally friendly and ethically produced, not tested on animals. The clinic also stocks a range of natural beauty products, skincare, makeup, candles and nail products for clients to purchase.
