Victor Physical Preparation is the coaching practice of Victor, a physical preparation coach based in Bukit Panjang with more than 15 years in Singapore's health and fitness industry. His work centres on a simple promise: help active adults and competitive athletes train smarter, stop recurring injuries, and keep playing the sports they love.
The practice serves three broad groups. Active sports enthusiasts — runners, lifters, racket-sport players — whose small niggles keep slowing them down. People with chronic injuries or persistent pain that hasn't resolved despite multiple providers, self-help methods or even surgery. And competitive athletes who want comprehensive, individualised programmes that raise performance without breaking the body along the way.
Victor's approach is rooted in his own story. A keen sportsman from youth, he started strength training in his late teens with YouTube and gym friends as his only guides — progress came quickly, and so did injuries. That experience led him to King Sports International (KSI) in 2011, a system with over 40 years of history preparing elite athletes. He has trained under KSI ever since and is one of a small number of coaches worldwide developed to its high-level coach standard.
Sessions are appointment-based, with consultations available in person or online, and the practice serves West Singapore including Bukit Timah, Holland and Jurong. There is a stated happiness policy: if a client ever feels the standard of care hasn't been met, Victor will refund the session. Enquiries via WhatsApp are answered personally, usually within 12 hours.
Victor Physical Preparation is a coaching practice built around a single promise: train smarter, stop recurring injuries, and keep playing. Based in Bukit Panjang and serving West Singapore — Bukit Timah, Holland and Jurong among them — Victor works as a physical preparation coach with more than 15 years in the health and fitness industry.
His client list reads like a cross-section of Singapore's active population. A volleyball player who could barely lift an arm above her head a few months ago and now sustains daily life, gym sessions and weekly matches. A tennis player who feels more confident on court and simply walking around. A runner who clocked a personal best of 2h 16min at the Taipei half marathon on a programme built around flexibility, speed and endurance. A pole dancer dancing pain-free. Boxers, powerlifters, Olympic weightlifters, Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners, footballers and obstacle-course racers. And just as welcome: desk workers with years of stubborn neck and shoulder pain, and older adults dealing with aging-related issues.
Victor's specialism is personal. Sports were a huge part of his life growing up, and he started strength training in his late teens with YouTube and gym friends as his only guides. Progress came quickly — and so did injuries. Training stopped; daily life and work were affected too. The lesson stuck: training hard doesn't always mean training well.
That search for better, safer ways to train led him to King Sports International (KSI) in 2011, a global pioneer in preparing elite athletes with over 40 years of experience. He continues his development with KSI as a high-level coach, a role held by only a small number of coaches worldwide. The framework gave him what generic programmes couldn't: a practical way to understand the body, prevent injuries and enhance performance beyond guesswork.
Every engagement begins with a complimentary 10-minute call to understand your situation, goals, and whether it's the right fit. An in-person or online consultation then digs into your background, training history and current limitations to identify what's really holding you back, before an individualised plan is designed — Victor doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, because every body is different. From there the focus is execution and understanding, so you're not guessing your way through training, with follow-up sessions adjusting the plan as your body adapts and goals evolve.
Clients frequently highlight the follow-through: WhatsApp check-ins between sessions, clear self-management instructions, and plans built around real schedules rather than ideal ones. Reviews also note that progress is tracked with concrete metrics, not a vague sense of feeling better.
The practice sits deliberately between rehab and personal training. Many clients arrive after seeing physiotherapists, chiropractors or other providers and feeling something was missing — relief that faded within days, or treatment that never explained why the problem occurred. Victor's coaching aims to uncover the real limiting factors and change the habits and environments that keep producing the same injuries, so results last without endless appointments. Some sessions are, as one client put it, just conversation — about habits and lifestyle — which she found was the help she actually needed.
There's also a stated happiness policy: if you ever feel the standard of care hasn't been met, Victor will refund your session.
Sessions are by appointment only. Weekday hours run 8am–12pm and 4–10pm, with Thursdays starting at 2pm, and weekends 8am–6pm. WhatsApp messages are answered personally, usually within 12 hours, and email enquiries go to [email protected]. With consultations available online as well as in person, the practice works for clients well beyond Bukit Panjang.
