Monday Coffee Bar is a Singapore cafe built around the philosophy "Everyone, Everyday" - a hope to serve and inspire everyone, every day. The cafe opened its doors on Monday, 29 November 2021, at 421 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, and has since grown to include a second location at 209A Clementi Ave 6.
Co-founder Weizhi traces the idea back to a growing love of third-wave coffee in Singapore in the late 2000s - cafe hopping, pour-overs, piccolos, single-origin beans - combined with part-time experience in retail and F&B that sparked a quiet dream of one day owning a cafe. The concept also draws on the Japanese idea of omotenashi, and on the warmth of spaces and people encountered abroad, shaping what the founders describe as their "what-if" cafe.
The cafe describes its food as guided by the same everyone-everyday motto: delicious, hearty food, freshly prepared upon order, with brunch and mains served alongside its coffee menu. It's built as a space for solopreneurs, students, colleagues, couples, friends and family to rest, read, plan their day, work, or simply spend some time alone.
The original Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 location is set to close permanently from April 2027, with the Clementi Ave 6 location continuing on as the ongoing home of Monday Coffee Bar - including a new membership programme launching there from 5 January 2026.
Monday Coffee Bar began, fittingly, on a Monday - 29 November 2021 - when its doors first opened at 421 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10. The cafe has since grown to include a second address at 209A Clementi Ave 6, and today operates under a simple, repeated philosophy: "Everyone, Everyday."
Co-founder Weizhi traces the cafe's roots back to the late 2000s, a period when third-wave coffee was taking hold in Singapore and cafe hopping became a genuine hobby. Words like pour-over, piccolo, single-origin, acidity and body took on new meaning as that appreciation for coffee deepened. Alongside it came real hospitality experience - part-time jobs in retail and food & beverage that Weizhi describes loving, specifically the experience of talking to people and serving them. Somewhere in that mix, the quiet dream of one day owning a cafe took hold.
The concept was also shaped by omotenashi, the Japanese approach to hospitality, and by the warmth of spaces and people encountered while travelling abroad. Those experiences laid the foundation for what the founders describe as their "what-if" cafe - the space that eventually became Monday Coffee Bar.
From day one, Monday Coffee Bar was built with a wide range of people in mind: solopreneurs, students, colleagues, couples, friends and family. The founders describe it as a place to rest, to read, to plan the day ahead or plan out life more broadly - to work, to find yourself, or simply to have some precious moments alone. That same "everyone, everyday" idea carries through to the food, which the cafe describes as delicious and hearty, freshly prepared upon order rather than sitting pre-made.
Monday Coffee Bar is open seven days a week, from 9am until 7:45pm for last order. Within that window, brunch runs from 9am to 3pm, while mains are served from 12pm to 8pm - giving visitors a reason to drop in whether it's an early coffee and brunch plate or a later sit-down meal. For anyone driving to the Clementi location, the entrance to the carpark is along Clementi Ave 6.
The original Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 branch, where the Monday Coffee Bar story began in 2021, is set to close permanently from April 2027. Going forward, the Clementi Ave 6 outlet becomes the cafe's ongoing home, and it's also where a new membership programme is set to launch, starting 5 January 2026.
For those who can't make it in, Monday Coffee Bar is available on all the major food delivery platforms - Foodpanda, Grab and Deliveroo - with coffees and sandwiches among the items called out for delivery.
