Auto Care Kilbirnie is a Wellington auto repair and servicing workshop offering vehicle servicing, Warrant of Fitness (WOF) checks, and general repairs. The business is MTA (Motor Trade Association) quality assured and the team has 35 years of experience in the industry.
The workshop is run by owner and manager Kevin, an automotive technician of more than 35 years who has had his own workshop since 1987 and has built a reputation for work on high-performance vehicles, with a background in diesel work and motorsport. Stu has been with the business for around 14 years and has extra training in scan tool diagnostics and hybrid vehicles, while Sherie has run the office since 2004.
Services cover WOF checks, oil changes, engine tune-ups, brakes, clutches, cam belt replacement, suspension work, wheel alignment, engine management, transmission, car air-conditioning, radiator repairs, and car batteries. The shop recommends servicing every 10,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first, and is able to postdate WOFs up to 14 days ahead to help customers plan around their vehicle's needs.
In 2016, Auto Care Kilbirnie won Best Mechanic in the Best of Wellington awards, run by The Breeze and Greater Wellington Regional Council, which coincided with the business's 30th year in operation.
