Platinum Mine Loop Track in Turitea is a bush-covered walking track leading to the historic platinum mines area, with a return trip taking around 5 hours. It's a good beginner hiking track, well marked but overgrown near the top, so gaiters or long pants are recommended, and note the official mapped route can be blocked by a private solar farm.
