As a Redken Gold Salon, Lynx brings genuine expertise to its colour work. Andrea McBride, a Master Stylist who joined the team in 2015 after years hairdressing overseas and in Auckland, is an internationally certified Redken colorist and Redken certified balayage colorist, known for her precision cutting and her skill creating beautiful blondes. Antony Watchorn, another Master Stylist with extensive national and international experience, brings a love of progressive hairstyling and healthy, shiny hair to every appointment. Kamira 'Karmz' TeRangi trained under Penny at Lynx originally, and after more than 20 years in the industry — including time hairdressing in Australia and running her own small salon — returned to the Mount with a passion for building her clients' confidence. Rounding out the team is Ella Trillo, an Emerging Stylist now in her third year of apprenticeship, with a particular love for colour work, especially avant-garde styles.
The salon's service menu covers the full range of hairdressing, from women's and men's cuts through to a full restyle service. Colour work spans everything from a simple regrowth or global colour through to foils in various sizes, combined global-and-foils packages, and bespoke correction, creative colour and balayage work quoted after a personal consultation. For special occasions, the team offers blow outs, hair up styling, and dedicated formal, ball and wedding hair services. Treatments round out the offering, built around the Redken range — including the Redken Acidic Bonder Mask and Lux Treatment for strengthening and repairing hair, plus an after-colour treatment to help new colour last.
