The course is regarded as one of greater Auckland's "hidden gems" that provides a challenging yet fair test for golfers of all abilities. Because the sand base allows for excellent drainage, it has developed a reputation as a fine all-weather course with sculptured Kikuyu-grassed fairways and manicured greens.
