Waitaha Pā is a historic Māori settlement site on a ridge-top in Okoia, marked by an orange sign at the trailhead. Subtle signs remain of the pā that once stood here, though much has been reclaimed by time. The 20-minute hike to the summit rewards with great views across the landscape.
