The nursing team includes Nurse Practitioners Kate and Jeff, Nurse Lead Melissa, and Registered Nurses Manisha, Lauren and Shayna — between them offering languages including English, Hindi and, among GPs, Filipino.
Enrolled patients — those who have completed enrolment and use Hutt City Health Centres as their primary healthcare provider — benefit from lower consultation fees than casual patients. For both groups, consultations for patients 13 and under are free, and Community Services Card holders receive further discounts on consultation fees. Nurse consultations are also priced separately from GP or Nurse Practitioner consultations. All consultations are 15 minutes, and payment is required prior to the appointment.
Certain services are free regardless of enrolment status: flu vaccinations for pregnant women, those aged 65 and over, and people with medical conditions that increase flu complication risk; childhood immunisations; and maternity care.
Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard or debit card (with paywave), online banking, automatic payment, cash, or via Medeor Pay by Link for secure online invoice payment. A no-show fee may apply if an appointment isn't attended or cancelled at least 2 hours in advance.
Outside normal opening hours, patients can call the practice's main number, which is answered by a registered health professional. Practice Plus is available Monday to Friday until 10pm and weekends/public holidays 8am to 8pm.
