Homebase is a large-format retail centre at 195 Marshland Road in Shirley, Christchurch, at the junction with the QEII Drive and New Brighton corridor. It has over 20 stores with a mix of national brands and local favourites, covering everyday essentials, home improvement, lifestyle, beauty, health and wellness, groceries and food and drink. The centre says it is still adding stores.
It has extensive on-site parking, with customer spaces in front of stores and extra parking along the internal roads, and accessible pathways with wide walkways and clear signage. Customers say the coffee is excellent and the staff are friendly. We hear Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse are coming soon, and some reviewers want a big supermarket. Our pick in Shirley for a home improvement trip with a coffee.
