Avonhead Shopping Centre is a neighbourhood shopping centre on the corner of Withells Road and Merrin Street in Avonhead, Christchurch. It calls itself the local on the corner, and that corner site is what it leans on. Shoppers can sign up on its website to hear about future Avonhead events, promotions and sales.
Open Locally's mentions for the centre are mostly for health and beauty businesses, with food and drink and clothing shops close behind. Other services are mentioned most often of all, which suits people who come for everyday errands as well as a browse. The centre's own description is short and plain, and it sits in the middle of the suburb it serves.
