Gibraltar Rock is a short but rewarding hike with rocky scrambles, easy to moderate in difficulty, about 25 minutes from the car park. It rewards climbers with amazing views over Canterbury and the Southern Alps, especially at sunset, though it's exposed and windy at the summit and the rock surface can be slippery.
