Best for Pets is a shop on Mairehau Road in Marshland, Christchurch, that sells raw food for dogs and cats. It is built around raw feeding, and it follows the Prey Model Raw approach, which uses meat, bones and organs. The range includes a wide choice of novel proteins for dogs with allergies. The shop says it can help customers take the guesswork out of switching a pet to raw food, and it shares education and resources for people who are new to it. Its community runs shop challenges, special offers and a newsletter with raw feeding advice and allergy-friendly updates.
For a Christchurch owner who wants to move a dog or cat onto a raw diet, or who needs a protein that suits an allergic dog, Best for Pets is the local shop built around that. Nearby, Petstock in Shirley is 0.6 km away and rated 5.0 from 9 reviews on Open Locally, so a visitor can compare the two. The shop's help with transition plans is the main thing that sets it apart from a general pet store.
