On the Go Eastgate, at 293 Linwood Avenue in Linwood, Christchurch, is a car service business. It has warrant of fitness checks, headlight alignment and oil changes. Warrant of fitness work and pricing come up most often in what customers say.
Customers' comments are mostly critical. One said a battery change was later found by another mechanic to be the wrong battery. Another said a hose that smelled hot was not replaced, even though they had been shown the two hoses that needed replacing. One said a warrant of fitness quote was too high, and they took the car to another business for a second quote.
