City Auto Services is a mechanic at 27 Walker Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, with a Google rating of 4.8.
A good mechanic finds the fault, explains it in plain language and gets your agreement before doing any work. Describe the symptoms clearly, such as noises, warning lights or changes in how the car drives, and ask for a written quote and an idea of timing before you leave the car. In New Zealand, vehicles need a Warrant of Fitness or Certificate of Fitness, so ask whether the workshop can do the inspection and what is checked, and ask for any replaced parts back if you want to see them. Regular servicing, according to the maker's schedule, prevents bigger bills, and keeping records helps resale value. Regulars find one mechanic they trust, book services ahead and ask about courtesy cars or drop-off options in a central-city location.
For drivers in central Christchurch, City Auto Services on Walker Street is worth contacting about servicing and repairs.
