Shirley Dental is a Lumino practice at 13 Marshland Road in Shirley, Christchurch, opposite the Palms mall. The practice was established in 2012 after damage to its North Avon site, and it offers general and cosmetic dentistry, including whitening, fillings, crowns, bridges, endodontics, dentures, extractions, wisdom tooth removal and dentistry for teenagers. An oral health therapist, a receptionist and dental assistants work alongside the dentists. The website says the practice specialises in gentle dentistry, and parking is available behind the building.
Payment options include Afterpay, Q MasterCard and Q Card finance, a SuperGold Card discount on most treatments, and a corporate offer for New Zealand Defence Force members. Southern Cross Health Insurance members get 5% off eligible treatment, and new patients get half-price exams and x-rays at participating practices. ACC may help with dental injuries. Patients can book by phone or online, and new patients are welcome. Dental care is free for teenagers who meet the eligibility criteria until their 18th birthday.
