Casual meals are served in Matches Sports Bar — home of big screens, pool, darts and the TAB — or the Club Bar overlooking the courtyard, with weekly specials from Monday's burger night to weekend sharing platters.
Beyond the table there's live sport, a gaming room open from 11am, a Function Room available from 5pm, the on-site Ignite Fitness centre, and a shuttle service running Thursday to Sunday from 3pm. Members add perks like a free buffet meal in their birthday month, weekly draws and raffles.
The club is a proud supporter of Christchurch North Community Control and Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson's Canterbury, with the FOMS Raffle Board channelling raffle entries to those causes.

Few calendars are as dependable as a community club's. Monday is burger and fries day from 12pm — beef, chicken or vegetarian — and it runs even on public holidays. Tuesday stacks up: quiz night at 7pm, billed as Christchurch's most popular weekly quiz with free entry and prizes drawn for vouchers and goods; wraps from noon with fries if you fancy them; and a roast deal for SuperGold Card holders until 5pm.
Wednesday is the members' two-for-one — buy two meals, swipe your Papanui member's card and the cheaper one is free. Thursday brings pizza night with six options to choose from, Pick 'n Win at 6pm and section raffles from 4pm. Friday adds the Cash Draw at 6.30pm, where you grab your entry at the bar and must be present to win.
Weekends ease into platters. From 2pm to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, Matches serves an antipasto or seafood platter alongside a smokehouse sharing board made for the middle of the table. Section raffles run on Saturday from 4pm and Sunday from 3pm, and the FOMS Raffle Board channels entries towards Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson's Canterbury.
The shuttle service runs Thursday through Sunday from 3pm — a small fare for riders aged 15 and over, free for under-15s with a paying adult, and a ten-ride concession card available from the bar. Pick-up numbers differ depending on whether you're north or south of Sawyers Arms Road, and drop-offs run roughly every half hour from 6pm.
There's also a Function Room available from 5pm for events and celebrations — Founders can be hired for private functions and meetings too — plus the on-site Ignite Fitness centre, pitched at everyday people working on their health and wellbeing, and a gaming room open from 11am that doesn't require membership at all.
Members collect their own perks, headlined by a free buffet meal during their birthday month, along with entry to the club's weekly draws and raffles and a quarterly newsletter to keep across it all.
