A family-owned Chinese restaurant on Main North Road in Papanui, Christchurch, where the pan-fried dumplings are the signature dish. The restaurant says it has served Chinese food since April 2001, first in a small Hereford Street location, then for ten years in the CBD. The February 2011 earthquakes closed it, and it reopened on Main North Road. A fire next door in November 2019 damaged the restaurant, and after 13 months it reopened a few doors down in a larger space.
The restaurant uses only canola oil and no added MSG, and it offers gluten-free and vegetarian options. Diners can eat in or take away. It is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11.30am to 9pm, and tables can be booked by phone on (03) 354 6818. It is fully licensed, and it is BYO for wine only. The drinks list includes Asahi and Stella Artois at $9.50 as at 2026, and Chinese tea at $2 per person. The website quotes no customer comments, and it gives no parking or children's details.
