A home-like early childhood centre at 6 Pratt Street in New Brighton, Christchurch. It takes children from the nursery, for babies, through to preschool, and its outdoor area has native trees and plants.
The website says the nursery is a space where babies can explore open-ended play, and that the preschool supports child-led learning and social and emotional growth. A discovery programme prepares children who are almost ready for school. The team says its teachers are experienced, and the centre is independently owned as part of Annabel's Educare, which has been running in Canterbury since 1998.
We hear there are two current offers. New families can get 30 hours free, with a maximum of six hours a day, and 50% off extra hours, until 1 December or until the promotional spaces are filled. Existing families who refer a friend who enrols and starts between 1 September and 1 December 2026 get one month free. Two other childcare services are within a kilometre: New Brighton Community PreSchool and Kidsfirst Kindergartens North New Brighton.
