Coffee Worx itself is a comprehensive coffee roasting and wholesale coffee supply company owned by Ian and Deborah Riach, who have been in the Christchurch coffee industry since its beginnings. Founded in 2002, the company has won several New Zealand coffee awards and built a loyal following through its coffee blends, wholesale supply, equipment sales and leasing, and training and consultancy for cafe and hospitality customers.
Coffee Worx also roasts an exclusive brand called Heartland Brew for the foodservice industry, and partners with Bright Hope Charity to roast La Mai — a single-origin arabica coffee from Northern Thailand — as an ethical, charitable coffee offering.
